Baby Mark’s Newborn Photos

And, here he is- a beautiful, healthy, baby boy and his newborn photos! A few weeks ago I traveled to Philadelphia’s Penn Hospital to photograph this handsome little fella’s birth. It’s always an honor to be chosen to capture such a special time, but even more so when you witness the birth and follow up with newborn photos. Twice the experience, twice the fun, twice the memories! We took this teeny baby to my studio to shoot with big sister, who happens to be three- a new three. What a doll face she is and with such spunk. Each opportunity to photograph portraits for a family in the South Jersey and Philadelphia area is a new opportunity to meet a family and have some laughs. While I may have already known this family quite well- they are my own, we talked the hours away while waiting for his arrival, laughed a lot, and made memories. Baby Mark’s Grandma happens to be an artist; she paints and sews, I am sure amongst other talents. The beautiful quilt baby Mark is laying on happens to be handmade especially for him. It was so beautiful and I am sure it’ll be treasured. After our studio session we went outside on a gorgeous April day, well before all of this soggy soaking rain set in South Jersey and captured a tiny yawn and sweet snuggles. There is something so beautiful about outdoor newborn portraits. Honestly, they are my fav! They are quite different from studio sessions where you have controlled light. I love using natural light and the elements nature brings to portraits that a typical studio session cannot.
