Newborn Session – NJSP

A newborn session is an opportunity to document your baby’s newborn stage, the squeeshy face, tiny feet and scrunchy fingers. It is a warm, beautiful experience, cherishing the sweet moments between baby and new parents as the newborn session unfolds. This newborn session was special because we were documenting Eli and Jordan McCarson’s first born child, a son named Eli in honor of his Daddy who gave the ultimate sacrifice on December 17, 2015. Jordan and I only met at her maternity session. Connected by a common bond as trooper’s wives, I was captivated by the strength and courage she possessed while going through their first pregnancy without her husband by her side. The images from the maternity session were lighthearted at times, showing off Jordan’s passion for the art of dance and bittersweet as she paid tribute to her husband; a fallen New Jersey State Trooper, a son, a brother, a friend and so many others but especially a man who would have been an amazing father to their newborn baby boy. Today we honor Eli McCarson and all the fallen officers who gave their lives leaving behind loved ones who will forever be changed.

I would like to sincerely thank Tansy Lane for the Stars + Stripes gown and Sew Trendy for the beautiful yellow gown. Together with their generosity, I was able to create lasting memories for a wife and Mama so incredibly deserving.
